Parachuting: The Skydiver's HandbookDan Poynter & Mike Turoff $19.95 For those of you that haven't read this, it is an excellent book. I haven't seen the latest edition, but I am sure it is as great as the one I have. I found it to be a comprehensive intro to skydiving. It covers a lot of details, from the history of the sport, to the student progression and the finer details of canopy flight. A must read! Also available in Spanish (strangely, for only $17.00). |
Like a BirdDan Van Wynsberghe; $13.00 Ok, so it isn't a book, it is a musical CD. But it is a really good one. A local (Midwest) jumper has produced a solo CD about skydiving and life at the DropZone. Like A Bird is over an hour worth of audio that will appeal to young and old jumpers alike. Don't look for hard rock or techno but don't expect folk music either. It contains acoustic guitar but in a way that you've probably not heard it before. You can listen to sample tracks if you have an MP3 player. Sky Surfing Pat Ryan; $19.00 Rw8 Manual : Tips and Tricks for 8-Way Sequential Freefall Skydiving Pal Bergan $7.95 + $1.35 Special Surcharge (often out of print or out of stock) |
